COMBINE all berries in a serving dish. MIX the sugar and water until dissolved and toss gently with the berries to coat. SERVE by itself or with a scoop of ice cream, fresh or frozen yogurt, or sorbet.
Variations: use any combination of your favorite berries. Turn this berry salad into a smoothie by blending mixed berries of your choice with milk, ice, and a scoop of ice cream to make it extra sweet and creamy. This berry salad also makes an ideal topping for your favorite whole grain breakfast cereal.
Tip: Frozen and canned berries are available year round.
