Onion
slices are great in salads,
sandwiches and burgers, and
when you cook onion slices they
caramelize easily. To cut the
onion into slices, simply follow
steps 1 and 2 but instead of
making a series of lengthwise
cuts at step 3, make a series
of fine crosswise cuts and the
onion will fall away into half-rings.
