About Tai Chi

Tai
Chi is practiced by millions of Chinese and Japanese every day,
and in recent years this ancient martial art has become increasingly
popular in the West.
The
slow, controlled, dance-like movements of Tai Chi can be helpful
in achieving a state of total relaxation of the whole body which
helps to quiet the mind and promote relaxation. A study in China
observed a group of 120 people, aged between 50-80 years who had
practiced Tai Chi for many years. They found that after practice,
92 percent of the group became noticeably more cheerful and optimistic.
